Performance Management Services
We currently provide a Performance Management Service for 14 operational PFI contracts, the majority of which are in the Health sector.
Managing the performance of PFI contracts is difficult. Contracts are complex and significant time is required to devote to what is often seen as a peripheral or ineffective activity. Private sector counterparties are well-informed and supported, whereas the public sector often lacks specialist resources to call upon.
The monthly Performance Monitoring Reports (PMR) generally forms the sole record on which the PFI payment mechanism operates, the Authority’s sole remedy for performance failures. In driving performance, and achieving value for money, the PMR process is the Authority’s key tool.
P2G helps Authorities manage this complex process, offering a service that includes a thorough monthly review of the PMR, liaison with Project Co to resolve issues, attendance at the monthly PMR meeting, and advice to the Authority on any unresolved issues. It also includes a mobile application, available to all Authority staff, to drive helpdesk reporting, a key driver of performance.
